At Sterling Brook Doodles, we believe bringing home a puppy is the beginning of a lifelong friendship. For more than 18 years, we’ve helped families throughout Connecticut and New England find healthy, well-socialized Bernedoodles, mini Goldendoodles, Mini Bernedoodles, and Mini Whoodles raised with love, care, and purpose.
As a family-owned breeder, we focus on quality over quantity. Every puppy is raised inside our home alongside our family, where they receive daily interaction, early socialization, and the attention they need to grow into confident, affectionate companions. From their very first days, our puppies are introduced to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences that help prepare them for life in their forever homes.

Founded by Holly and John Deffley, Sterling Brook Doodles combines years of breeding experience with a genuine passion for raising exceptional family dogs. Holly provides hands-on care for every litter, while John’s background as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and certified canine behaviorist helps ensure each puppy receives a healthy start and a strong foundation.

We take the time to get to know every family, help match you with the right puppy for your lifestyle, and remain available to answer questions throughout your dog’s life.
